Without guide bar and chain!

A very comfortable and durable professional chainsaw that is responsive and truly powerful. Designed primarily for LOGOSOL chainsaw mills, but also for felling and cross-cutting trees with very thick and hard wood. The saw has an adjustable oil pump and practical solutions such as quick-release tank caps, a stainless-steel muffler, a long-life cyclone pre-separation air filter system, a quick-release HD2 air filter and a quick-release engine cover.

Added comfort comes from STIHL's patented anti-vibration system, a decompression valve for easier starting and the ElastoStart starter to reduce kickback when starting.

NB! Supplied drive sprocket: the 3/8P (Picco) drive sprocket and the chain cover have loose nuts so that they can be used on Logosol and other manufacturers' sawmills!

For use with chainsaw mills you will need:
* Guide bar 3/8P (picco) 1.3mm 32-63cm e.g.: Guide bar 3/8P 1.3mm 45cm LOG
* Saw chains 3/8 PMX (X – sharpened to 10 degrees) with 1.3mm groove, e.g.: Saw chain 3/8 PMX 1.3mm 66 drive links

NB! Fitting the MS 661 C-M chainsaw with other guide bars and saw chains!

Other guide bars and saw chains can also be used on the MS 661 C-M chainsaw. Since this saw is fitted with a 3/8P drive sprocket, the supplied drive sprocket must be replaced with one suitable for the larger 3/8 RAPID saw chain type.

There are two types of drive sprocket:
1. Spur sprocket 3/8 z7 – code: 11226402002
2. Rim sprocket set 3/8 z7 – code: 11220071000

After replacing the drive sprocket, you can use guide bars with a 3/8 1.6mm groove and 3/8 saw chains RM (M – round cutting tooth), RS (S – square cutting tooth), RD (D – carbide (Duro) cutting tooth) 1.6 mm. Guide bars of up to 90 cm can be used, with different cutting teeth and drive-link counts depending on the bar length.

STIHL M-Tronic

The fuel supply is electronically controlled and automatically adapts to working and environmental conditions, ensuring optimal engine performance. The memory function lets you quickly resume unfinished work after a break, with no need to adjust the settings manually.

HD2 Air filter

A tool-free interchangeable/removable and easy-to-clean air filter suitable for all conditions (warm, cold, dry, damp). Thanks to its special material, it repels water and oil.

STIHL 2-MIX®

Why choose STIHL 2-MIX engines? Using the unique 4-channel technology developed by STIHL, a cushion of fresh air is created between the combustion residues and the fresh fuel. This reduces the amount of fuel that ends up among the combustion residues, thereby lowering fuel consumption.
