STIGA A1500 cable-free robot mower – a new-generation robot for your garden

Stiga's engineers and designers have developed a new-generation robot mower that combines the latest technologies and the best user conveniences. Running on a 5.0 Ah lithium-ion battery, the robot mower can mow up to 2500 m² of lawn. On a full charge, the robot's continuous run time can be up to 2h 30 minutes. The STIGA A1500 lawn mower – a new-generation, fully autonomous, wire-free robot mower with AGS technology. To install the new STIGA A-series robots no boundary wire is needed. Map your entire plot easily with the help of your mobile phone, simply by driving the robot along the boundary of the desired area. The robot actively scans the garden to decide where and when to mow, using the patented AGS (Active Guidance System) algorithm combined with RTK-GPS technology. The algorithm further improves the reliability of the GPS RTK signal.

STIGA A-series robots optimise battery use by working in organised mowing patterns, which means they no longer mow randomly. The robot has several programs for different mowing directions. To avoid excessive mowing, the user can set up to 10 mowing zones. The lithium-ion battery is characterised by durability and does not pollute the environment. The strong plastic housing is made of polypropylene and 30% talc material, which absorbs noise and vibration.

The compact and lightweight STIGA A-series robot can mow gardens of various shapes – easily manoeuvring in tight spots, around trees and shrubs. Because the robot is perfectly balanced, it easily copes with various uneven surfaces and can climb slopes of up to 45% (24°). The STIGA A-series robot has two electronic brains (a power board and a logic board) that orient themselves and decide when and where to cut. The robot can also be controlled with the intuitive keypad on the robot and via a Bluetooth connection from your smartphone, using the STIGA.GO app.

Mowing

The STIGA A 1500 wire-free robot mower works with 4 freely pivoting razor blades, with a cutting width of 18 cm. The blade shreds the mown grass and spreads it back onto the soil, creating a natural fertiliser for the growing lawn. The cutting-height positions are electrically adjustable in the range of 20-60 mm. The STIGA A1500 robot can maintain the entire lawn surface, working just twice a day with mowing cycles of up to 2.5 hours. This leaves more time to enjoy the garden and gives the lawn a chance to 'recover' after mowing. Thanks to obstacle-detection sensors, the robot stops on contact with an obstacle and automatically changes direction.

With the STIGA.GO app, you can set a specific mowing time and exclude areas you do not want mowed, so the robot will not go there. Or integrate the Alexa voice assistant for voice commands. The robot also has theft protection – if it is outside its mowing zone, a notification is sent to the user.

Three sensors help it respond to its surroundings:

• Rain sensor – sends the robot back to the charging station when it rains.
• Bump sensor – thanks to obstacle detection, the robot stops and automatically changes direction, thereby also preventing damage to the blades.
• Lift sensor – automatically stops the cutting blades when the robot is lifted.

As a novel solution, the robot mower has removable top cover, which can be washed under running water. The robot meets IPX5 moisture protection. This solution lets you keep the robot mower clean and well-maintained at all times.
