The STIHL plastic wedge, 25 cm long, is designed for felling trees and keeping the saw kerf open. The impact-resistant plastic does not damage the saw chain if the wedge should touch the chain.
The wedge is driven into the kerf to direct the fall of the tree and stop the saw getting pinched.
