The STIHL felling lever with a cant hook is designed for felling a tree in the intended direction, indicating the felling direction and turning logs. The cant hook helps tip the trunk over the felling hinge and gives better control of the felling direction.
The lever is made from a special steel alloy. It is 80 cm long. The cant hook slides along the shaft and also lets you turn the log after felling.
