BATTERY STIHL AP 500 S PRO

A powerful battery system for garden, forestry and tree care work. STIHL’s new Power Laminate technology gives the AP 500 S battery twice as many charging cycles (2400x) as previous AP 300 S batteries (1200x). In addition, the battery’s power output has also increased. This means the service life of the AP 500 S is twice as long as that of all other batteries. With 240 charging cycles per year, the new battery lasts 10 years, compared with 5 years for the previous-generation AP 300 S battery.

The new AP 500 S battery has 40% higher output power than the previous-generation AP 300 S battery, plus 20% longer running time. On the new MSA 300 saw this means 3.0 kW of power, an entirely new level for cordless saws. The AP 500 S battery weighs just 2 kg, with an energy content of 337 Wh.

The battery can be used in the rain; the innovative technology achieves a lower operating temperature under maximum load. 4 LED indicators show the charge level; a fault is shown by a single red LED indicator.

Permitted battery operating temperature range: -10 ˚C to +50 ˚C
Battery charging temperature range: +5 ˚C to +40 ˚C

Available as optional equipment Battery belt, battery bag for the belt and battery backpack. A strong, ergonomically shaped belt for holding STIHL lithium-ion batteries to make work even easier. Carry the battery on the battery belt or in the battery backpack to reduce the total weight of the hand-held cordless tool. Power is transferred via the battery adapter (optional on the battery backpack), which is connected to the tool by a strong, flexible cable.
