STIHL FS 460 C-EM KW with heated handles

A durable and powerful brushcutter with handle heating, designed for professional forest maintenance work. The machine has a shorter drive shaft, which gives better mobility in the forest and greater leverage when cutting. The machine's “handlebar” has a different shape from the version intended for trimming, which allows better working techniques. The gearbox angle and rotation speed have also been changed. A model with an ErgoStart’s starter, a 2-MIX engine and M-Tronic. The STIHL FS 460 C-EM KW is the latest M-Tronic 3.0 version.

In addition to the M-Tronic ignition module, the flywheel also carries a control unit that continuously monitors air pressure, the fuel-air mixture and engine temperature. The unit adjusts the fuel-to-air ratio of the ignition mixture accordingly. The engine always runs at the optimum speed for the conditions. There is no need to adjust the carburettor by hand. Thanks to a cleaner and more precisely regulated fuel mixture, the engine runs more economically, pollutes less and has a longer service life. When starting, too, the engine is automatically set to the starting position.

The 4-point anti-vibration system ensures less vibration to the user's hands. Special-steel anti-vibration springs and rubber vibration mounts are used. The brushcutter is sufficiently rigid in operation, yet vibration is not transferred to the user's hands.

The FS 460 C-EM KW brushcutter can use a 225 mm saw blade for clearing brush and a 300 mm brush knife (3-blade) for cutting grass and hay.

NB! With the brushcutters FS 460 CEM-K, FS 460 CEM-KW, FS 490 CEM-K, FS 490 CEM-KW (gearbox angle 25˚) you must not use trimmer heads with line, and there is no corresponding trimmer guard for the trimmer head!
