FS 460 C-EM K brushcutter

A hard-wearing, powerful brushcutter designed for professional forestry maintenance. It has a shorter drive shaft, which gives better manoeuvrability in the forest and more leverage when cutting. The “handlebar” has a different shape from the version intended for trimming, which allows better working technique. The gearhead angle and rotation speed have also been changed. An M-Tronic model with a 2-MIX engine and ErgoStart starter. The STIHL FS 460 C-EM K has the latest M-Tronic 3.0 version.

In addition to the M-Tronic ignition module, the flywheel also carries a control unit that continuously monitors air pressure, the fuel-air mixture and engine temperature. The unit adjusts the fuel-to-air ratio of the ignition mixture accordingly. The engine always runs at the optimum speed for the conditions. There is no need to adjust the carburettor by hand. Thanks to a cleaner and more precisely regulated fuel mixture, the engine runs more economically, pollutes less and has a longer service life. When starting, too, the engine is automatically set to the starting position.

The 4-point anti-vibration system ensures less vibration to the user's hands. Special-steel anti-vibration springs and rubber vibration mounts are used. The brushcutter is sufficiently rigid in operation, yet vibration is not transferred to the user's hands.

With the FS 460 C-EM K brushcutter you can use a 225 mm circular saw blade for clearing scrub and a 300 mm three-tooth blade for cutting grass and hay.

NB! With the FS 460 CEM-K, FS 460 CEM-KW, FS 490 CEM-K and FS 490 CEM-KW brushcutters (gearhead angle 25˚) you must not use nylon-line mowing heads, and there is no corresponding deflector for the mowing head!
