A branch shredder that is not intended for branches only, but is also suitable for all plants and leaves in the garden that need shredding, which we can then use as compost. The electric branch shredder with its cutting mechanism chops everything up finely. It shreds both thicker and thinner branches as well as soft material such as tree leaves or plant residues. Every spring we find ourselves in a situation where we need to get rid of a pile of branches cut from trees. The most useful thing is to shred the branches and use the resulting chippings as mulch for shrubs and flower beds. Ideally, mix the branch chippings with the grass mulch collected the previous year to obtain a biological fertiliser. Large piles of branches are now a thing of the past, with no burning, and we also protect the environment. When choosing a shredder, it is worth checking:
• how safety is ensured. A shredder is a dangerous tool that must always be used with the specified safety equipment; any cleaning and opening of the machine must be safeguarded by safety switches.
• what blades the shredder uses and how the branch is fed into the shredder. Make sure that the blades are not just pieces of sheet metal but are made of special metal that has been laser-treated. The blades must be sharpenable and usable for as long as possible. Before buying, find out where you can get new blades when the blades can no longer be sharpened; that is, there must definitely be the possibility to buy and replace new blades in the future. NB! Blades must always be replaced by a specialist.
