Cordless and petrol leaf blowers

The Saemeister range includes more than 30 EGO Power+, STIHL and STIGA leaf blowers priced from around €130 to €850. A leaf blower quickly clears lawns, paving, patios and driveways: of leaves in autumn, of debris left over from winter in spring and of grass clippings left on paths after mowing in summer. Choosing between a cordless and a petrol leaf blower

A cordless leaf blower is light and quiet and starts at the push of a button, which makes it well suited to home gardens and places where noise matters. EGO Power+ 56-volt leaf blowers are extremely powerful and practical: the EGO LB7650E, for example, moves up to 1,300 m³ of air per hour. The same battery also powers EGO lawn mowers, line trimmers and hedge trimmers.

A petrol leaf blower suits large areas and long working days, as refuelling takes only a moment. The backpack STIHL BR 700 and BR 800 C-E spread the weight across your shoulders and move around 1,900 to 2,000 m³ of air per hour. The EGO and STIHL ranges also include cordless backpack blowers, such as the EGO LBPX1100 and STIHL BGA 300 PRO.

What air volume, air speed and blowing force tell you

Air volume (m³/h) shows how much air the blower moves, which determines how wide a strip you can clear in one pass. Air speed (m/s) shows how fast the air leaves the nozzle and helps to shift wet leaves and leaves stuck to the ground. Blowing force (N) takes both into account and is the best figure for comparing different models. The leaf blowers in the Saemeister range have an air volume of around 400 to 2,000 m³/h and a blowing force of 5 to 41 N.

Which leaf blower to choose for the size of your garden

• For patios, steps and small gardens, a compact cordless leaf blower with a blowing force of 5 to 15 N is a good choice, such as the STIHL BGA 45 and BGA 60 Compact or the STIGA SAB series blowers.
• For an average home garden, a more powerful cordless leaf blower with a blowing force of around 18 to 26 N is suitable, such as the EGO LB6150E, LB6700E and LB7650E or the STIHL BGA 200.
• For large plots, parks and professional use, a cordless or petrol backpack leaf blower with a blowing force of 26 to 41 N is the right choice, such as the EGO LBPX1100, STIHL BGA 300 PRO, BR 700 or BR 800 C-E.

Leaf blowers that also collect the leaves

If the leaves also need to be cleared away, choose a blower vac or a garden vacuum. The EGO LV5000E, STIHL SHA 56 and STIGA VS 100e blow leaves and vacuum them into a collection bag, and several of them also shred the leaves. The collection bag of the STIHL SHA 140 PRO holds 55 litres. Shredded leaves take up less space in the bag and are good for composting.
