EGO Power+ isn't a single tool, but a system built around the 56-volt ARC Lithium battery. Every EGO battery fits every EGO tool.
You buy your first tool together with a battery and charger. You can buy every following tool without a battery and charger, since you already have a suitable battery. The same battery you use to mow the lawn also powers the trimmer, leaf blower, chainsaw and hedge trimmer.

3Batteries and charging
All EGO batteries deliver 56 volts. The difference lies in capacity (Ah and Wh), which determines runtime. A larger battery runs longer and gives the tool more power, but is heavier and more expensive. Charging times depend on the charger.

6Robotic mowers: a separate system
Important: EGO AURA robotic mowers have a built-in battery and do NOT belong to the interchangeable 56V battery platform.
The robotic mower charges itself at the charging station and mows automatically. The robotic mower's battery is part of the robot itself, so it cannot be used in handheld tools or vice versa. The AURA R2 series is wire-free – no boundary wire is needed; the mowing area is set in the app, and navigation uses RTK centimetre-accurate positioning and PATH IQ technology.
7Warranty and servicing
For its 56V equipment, EGO Power+ gives home users a 5-year warranty on tools and a 3-year warranty on batteries (on registration, under EGO's official terms). Aura robot mowers come with a 3-year warranty on the machine and a 2-year warranty on the battery. Owning an EGO is easy: no oil changes, spark plugs or fuel mixing – maintenance mainly comes down to cleaning and changing the blades or line.

Does my existing EGO battery fit a new EGO tool?
Yes. All EGO Power+ 56V ARC Lithium batteries fit all EGO handheld tools, regardless of the year of purchase.
Is a battery tool as powerful as a petrol tool?
The high 56V voltage allows EGO tools to reach petrol-tool performance, without noise, vibration or exhaust fumes. For very heavy-duty professional jobs, there is a separate Pro X series.
How long does a battery last?
Runtime depends on the battery capacity and the tool. A good guide is the capacity in watt-hours (Wh): the higher the Ah, the longer the runtime.
Does a robotic mower's battery fit other EGO tools?
No. EGO AURA robotic mowers have a built-in battery that is part of the robot. It cannot be used in handheld tools.
What is the difference between a kit and a tool on its own?
The kit also includes a battery and charger. The label without battery and charger means tool only. If you already have a battery and charger at home, choose the version without a battery and save money.
