STIGA's own engine
On most models, the Tornado uses an engine developed in-house by STIGA. The engine, transmission and chassis are optimised to work together — resulting in better reliability and durability.
Cast-iron front axle
From the 7108 W model onwards, the front axle is cast iron — significantly stronger than aluminium or plastic front axles. It withstands rougher terrain without deforming.
Wheel bearings, not bushings
Wheel bearings are used for the Tornado's wheel mounts instead of bushings. Less friction, a longer service life, and a smoother ride even years later.
Wash nozzle on the mower deck
All Tornado models have a mower deck wash nozzle as standard equipment — connect a hose and clean without manual scraping.
Headlights as standard
All models have powerful headlights, with bright LEDs on most — mow in low light, fog or bad weather. Especially useful during the Estonian autumn and spring.
Reverse mowing system
The Tornado supports mowing in reverse — in tight spaces and on rougher terrain, this gives a significant convenience advantage.
A range of attachments for year-round use
One universal hitch fits all attachments: leaf collector, lawn roller, seeder, trailer. Plus, of course, a snow plough that mounts on the front of the tractor. You buy the machine once — and use it all year round.

The Tornado 398M is suitable for maintaining small to medium-sized lawns. The tractor has a STIGA engine with 7.1 kW of power and a manual gearbox (5 forward + 1 reverse). 18″ rear wheels provide good grip when driving, even when working on rougher terrain. Working comfort is enhanced by a Classic seat and a cushioned steering wheel. Headlights ensure visibility when working in low light or in poor weather conditions (fog, rain or snowfall). A mulching kit and a trailer hitch are included with the machine; a battery charger is available for sale as an accessory.
The Tornado 398 is a modern lawn tractor, allowing the use of both mulching and side discharge. The tractor has a STIGA engine with 7.5 kW of power and a foot-pedal-controlled hydrostatic transmission. The tractor has a durable, reinforced 98 cm wide mowing deck with 2 cutting blades. 18″ rear wheels provide good grip when driving, even when working on rougher terrain. Working comfort is enhanced by a Classic seat and a cushioned steering wheel. Headlights ensure visibility when working in low light or in poor weather conditions (fog, rain or snowfall). A mulching kit and a trailer hitch are included with the machine; a battery charger is available for sale as an accessory.
The Tornado 5108 is a powerful lawn tractor for where you want to use mulching and side discharge. The tractor has a STIGA single-cylinder engine with 8.4 kW of power and a foot-pedal-controlled hydrostatic transmission. The tractor has a durable, reinforced 108 cm wide mowing deck with 2 cutting blades. Large 18″ rear wheels ensure good grip even in tough conditions. Headlights ensure visibility when working in low light or in poor weather conditions. A battery charger, mulching kit and tow hitch are included with the machine.
The Tornado 5108 W is suitable for frequent mowing of larger lawns. The tractor has a STIGA twin-cylinder ST 550 Twin engine with 10.8 kW of power and a foot-pedal-controlled hydrostatic transmission. The tractor's frame is longer than standard, which gives the tractor larger rear wheels (20″), providing better grip even on rougher terrain. Working comfort is enhanced by an updated seat and steering wheel. The updated model has a convenient glove compartment behind the steering wheel, allowing you to conveniently store necessary items. Headlights ensure visibility when working in low light or in poor weather conditions (fog, rain or snowfall). A range of attachments designed for the tractor let you keep the machine working all year round. A battery charger, mulching kit and tow hitch are included with the machine.
The side-discharge lawn tractor Tornado 7108 W has a durable 108 cm wide mowing deck with two cutting blades, a twin-cylinder STIGA ST 700 Twin engine with 14.9 kW of power, and a foot-pedal-controlled hydrostatic transmission. We recommend using large side-discharge tractors primarily for mowing large lawns where grass collection isn't necessary — collection is compensated for by shredding, or mulching, the grass. A large 15-litre fuel tank and a cast-iron front axle ensure reliability even under intensive use. Large 20″ rear tyres. A range of attachments designed for the tractor let you keep the machine working all year round. A battery charger, mulching kit and tow hitch are included with the machine.
The side-discharge lawn tractor Tornado 9121 W has a specially reinforced 121 cm wide mowing deck with three cutting blades, a twin-cylinder HONDA GXV 690 engine with 13.95 kW of power, and a foot-pedal-controlled hydrostatic transmission. The Stiga lawn tractor Tornado 9121 W has a large, strong frame. The 20″ rear wheels have a special tread pattern that also helps aerate the ground during mowing. Working comfort is enhanced by a high-backed seat, cruise control, and a steering wheel covered in soft-grip material. A battery charger, mulching kit and tow hitch are included with the machine.

emission-free the future
STIGA ePower Pro is a modular 56-volt battery system, whose 40 Ah / 2000 Wh capacity battery fits both the Tornado 398e and 5108e tractors. You can fit 1 or 2 batteries into the tractor depending on the size of your lawn — the batteries are easily removable and rechargeable. The price of one battery is 929 EUR including VAT.
The Tornado 398e is a STIGA electric garden tractor suitable for medium-sized gardens of up to 7,000 m² (with 1 battery) or up to 14,000 m² (with 2 batteries). The tractor runs on the modular ePower Pro battery system (56 V, 2000 Wh / 40 Ah), which lets you use 1 or 2 batteries as needed. The battery is not included.
The cutting width is 98 cm, and the cutting height is adjustable with a hand lever in 7 steps in the range of 25–80 mm. The cutting method is side discharge; a mulching plug is also included. 2 blades, electric start.
The tractor has a fully electric transmission, controlled with a single pedal. The control panel is a digital LED display, the steering wheel has STIGA's new comfortable design, and the seat is adjustable. There are also LED headlights, a wash connector, a storage compartment and a cup holder.
The tractor connects to the STIGA.GO app, where you can monitor battery status, run time and performance, and manage charging times.

The Tornado 398M gets the job done. Manual gears might seem old-fashioned, but on a small, flat area, it's not a hindrance.

Tornado 398 — the hydrostatic transmission makes it comfortable to use, the power is sufficient, and it has the best value for money in Estonia. It's no coincidence that it's Stiga's best-selling model.

Attachments — year-round use
The STIGA Tornado's universal hitch system is one of the most important arguments — one tractor, many purposes all year round.
Grass and leaf collector
Collects cut grass or autumn leaves into a large container. Especially suitable for autumn, when leaves would otherwise stay on the lawn.
Snow plough blade
An adjustable-angle blade — in winter, the tractor becomes a snow plough. Recommended for the 5108 model and above.
Seeder
Spring fertilising and lawn seeding on large areas while driving the tractor. Saves time and ensures even distribution.
Lawn roller
In spring, the lawn roller levels the ground and smooths out unevenness left after winter.
Trailer
For everyday garden and household use — firewood, soil, sand, rubbish. Fits all models.
Mulching kit
Shreds grass clippings directly onto the lawn — natural fertilising without the need to haul anything away. Included in the set.
Maintenance and service life
A properly maintained STIGA Tornado tractor will easily last more than ten years. STIGA recommends using bio-additive-free A95 petrol and genuine oil.
