STIHL FS 491 C-EM

A powerful and robust brushcutter designed for professional forestry maintenance and trimming work or larger tasks on the farm. An M-Tronic model with an ErgoStart starter and a 2-MIX engine. The STIHL FS 491 C-EM has the latest M-Tronic 3.0 version, a new gear head, new anti-vibration bushings and an AV housing with an innovative harness attachment system and handlebar, plus an updated starter system, crankshaft and clutch housing.

In addition to the M-Tronic ignition module, the flywheel also carries a control unit that continuously monitors air pressure, the fuel-air mixture and engine temperature. The unit adjusts the fuel-to-air ratio of the ignition mixture accordingly. The engine always runs at the optimum speed for the conditions. There is no need to adjust the carburettor by hand. Thanks to a cleaner and more precisely regulated fuel mixture, the engine runs more economically, pollutes less and has a longer service life. When starting, too, the engine is automatically set to the starting position.

The 4-point anti-vibration system ensures less vibration to the user's hands. Special-steel anti-vibration springs and rubber vibration mounts are used. The brushcutter is sufficiently rigid in operation, yet vibration is not transferred to the user's hands.

The new choke system makes the starting process simple and convenient and easier to start. The control handle has only a stop button. The choke lever has three positions: cold start, warm start and operating position. The lever can be turned by pressing it down and it always springs automatically into the operating position when the throttle is pressed. All of this together makes the starting process more convenient.

The FS 491 C-EM brushcutter can use circular saw blades 225mm and 250mm. Depending on the blade, a saw-blade guard and blade guards for transport are also available.

Included: 3-tooth blade 300-3, trimmer guard for the 3-tooth blade and universal ADVANCE carrying harness.
