Chainsaw STIHL MS 194 T

A lightweight STIHL arborist's saw. Lower kickback risk when starting, thanks to microprocessor-controlled ignition and optimal ergonomics. The engine displacement is 31.8 cm³, the power output 1.4 kW and the saw weighs 3.3 kg. The saw has a 2-MIX engine, ElastoStart starter and fuel pump, and the chain is tensioned with a single wrench.

The device has a loop for hanging it on a belt, to make climbing and working up a tree easier.

About guide bars

STIHL produces a full range of guide bars for all STIHL chainsaws. With a few exceptions,
all STIHL guide bars use the oil-saving Ematic system. Every guide bar marked with the letter E
is an Ematic guide bar. STIHL guide bars are available in a wide range of lengths and in gauges of 1.1 mm (Rollomatic Mini), 1.3 mm, 1.5 mm and 1.6 mm.
The contour of the various guide bars is optimised to meet the following requirements:
– cutting performance,
– straight-line cutting,
– kickback behaviour,
– durability.
A long bar groove is milled into the edge of the guide bar. The base of the drive link reaches the bottom of the bar groove, ensuring the chain runs in a straight
line and the bottoms of the chain links move along the edge of the bar groove. The bar groove also acts as a supply channel for the chain oil.
During cutting, the guide bar is subjected to the same stress as the saw chain. The guide bar is therefore made
from durable material that has additionally been hardened and toughened through a special curing process.

About saw chains

STIHL offers saw chains for all types of wood and for all chainsaw makes, regardless of their engine
size. STIHL's range of saw chains has a chain for almost every job. All STIHL saw chains are patented and
feature STIHL's Oilomatic lubrication system, which extends saw chain service life. Every saw chain made by STIHL is an Oilomatic chain.
So that the saw chain fits the guide bar, STIHL produces saw chains in gauges of 1.1; 1.3; 1.5 and 1.6 mm and additionally also
with a 2.0 mm groove, which suits harvesters.
