STIGA SMT 500 AE is a cordless multi-tool combining a hedge trimmer, a pole pruner and a telescopic shaft. The hedge trimmer blade is 46 cm long, the tooth spacing 28 mm and the cutting speed 3000 strokes per minute, and the handle rotates. The pole pruner has a 25 cm guide bar and a chain speed of 5 m/s.
The telescopic shaft extends by 75 cm, giving a total length of up to 295 cm. This gives a maximum working height of 4 m as a hedge trimmer and 4.3 m as a pole pruner. The tool weighs 4.6 kg as a hedge trimmer and 4.3 kg as a pole pruner. It runs on a 48 V lithium-ion battery of 2, 4 or 5 Ah, which is not included.
