A light and ergonomic tree-care chainsaw for arborists. With a fuel-efficient 2-MIX engine and the STIHL M-Tronic electronic system, which ensures a lower risk of kickback when starting. Fuel system: an all-position diaphragm carburettor with an integrated fuel pump, fuel tank capacity 0.31 L. STIHL E-Matic chain lubrication is provided by a fully automatic oil pump governed by engine speed, with an additional manual oil quantity adjustment system; oil tank capacity is 0.22 L.

About guide bars

STIHL produces a full range of guide bars for all STIHL chainsaws. With a few exceptions,
all STIHL guide bars use the oil-saving Ematic system. Every guide bar marked with the letter E
is an Ematic guide bar. STIHL guide bars are available in a wide range of lengths and in gauges of 1.1 mm (Rollomatic
Mini), 1.3 mm, 1.5 mm and 1.6 mm.
The contour of the various guide bars is optimised to meet the following requirements:
– cutting performance,
– straight-line cutting,
– kickback behaviour,
– durability.
A long bar groove is milled into the edge of the guide bar. The base of the drive link reaches the bottom of the bar groove, ensuring the chain runs in a straight
line and the bottoms of the chain links move along the edge of the bar groove. The bar groove also acts as a supply channel for the chain oil.
During cutting, the guide bar is subjected to the same stress as the saw chain. The guide bar is therefore made
from durable material that has additionally been hardened and toughened through a special curing process.
